poème > visual effects > ambiances. Ambiances defined the visual aspect of the pavilion interiors during the Poème show, as scheduled by the minutage. All ambiances have a common structure, including three zones of color projections (lower horizon, main area, higher accents), lighting of objects (stars, mathematical object, mannequin), and projections of special effects (clouds, sun, moon, lightning). We interpreted these images, with hand-written marks in German, French, and Dutch, as last-minute decisions, probably with the goal of simplifying the color combinations.
