poème > music.
The music of the
Poème électronique was realized
by Varèse in the Philips laboratories of Eindhoven
(here an excerpt of the stereo mix
published by the Columbia Records under Varèse's supervision).
The interlude music "Concret PH", to accompany entering/exiting audiences, was
realized by Xenakis (here an excerpt published by INA-GRM).
A few sketches attributed to Varèse contain indications about the dynamics and frequency content of the Poème (check similarity with the
sonogram).
Here also a sketch by Xenakis, concerning Concret PH (latin letters for textures,
greek letters for speed).
