Philips Pavilion. The Pavilion was a self-standing "tent", with curved surfaces in shape of hyperbolic paraboloids and three pinnacles; inside, a dark and sound absorbing cavern, coated with asbestos.
The pavilion was designed by Xenakis and built by the Belgian company Strabed, after a severe modeling and structural tests carried out at the University of Delft.
