A survey in Piedmont has shown that there has been a growth of the activities related to live event, and this fosters the growing interdisciplinary production, with a consistent enhancement of multimedia skills

How many resources must be allocated to programma live events?

Which are the technologies and the devices to be used for the digitalization of actions and events?

Which model of scenic dramaturgy must be used when the story unfolds between different media at the same time?

How to effectively assess the entire cost of production?

The performance is created through a production project, replicated as an event, and increasingly also exploited in the version recorded / played through audiovisual and digital media. In other words it has a life cycle.
This study requires the identification of a unique vocabulary as regards the consumption by the public moving on two key stages: production design and dissemination.

In the first case (production design) the feasibility study suggests the development of a collaborative software of display and pre-display control for the production of live events that use digital media with automatic interaction (augmented stage, interactive video, virtual environments). The project does not aim to redefine the production processes at the different content to handle live (audio, video, CG, 3D, etc.), but to define a software platform that optimizes the collaborative processes of real-time management of given content and reduces the hardware cost.

In the second case (dissemination) the study will evaluate the possibility of recording and distribution systems using semiotic categories and ontological classes for the better use (segmentation, re-modulation, customization) of a performance event happened and recorded.
To do this, we define the primitive of the live performance from the point of view of the dramaturgy, design and narrative. Then we realize a multimedia performance (Frameshift) produced by Lumiq redesigned in collaboration with the University of Turin CRUD. Finally Kitchenfilm will handle the recording and distribution of a performance by an artist couple (Romanza). The choice romance, and digitized, with multiple technologies and media will become given to a group of viewers to evaluate the reactions in terms of popularity

The long term task is to foster the creation of a product to be used both within projects and as a separate product available to the community.
